Polls is an addon that adds a new discussion type “Poll.”
Users can poll the community for their opinion, or thoughts on a certain topic. i.e. What’s the greatest sitcom of all time : Friends, Cheers, Wings, HIMYM and then other community members can make their pick and comment on the question.
To turn on polls, simply enable the Polls addon in your Dashboard, by navigating to the Dashboard, then Settings, then Addons.
This will add a 'New Poll' button in the side bar that will let you create a poll discussion:
Polls can be set as public or anonymous.
A public poll will show the participant's avatars below each bar, and there is also a mention of what each user voted for on their comments in public polls.
Keep in mind that a poll cannot be edited once created. This feature is available on all of our hosted plans.
What is the max # of poll options?
You may add up to ten options.
How can I get a full list of everyone that voted? I can only see the first few in the image!
This is not currently part of the UX, but you can do this with the Polls endpoint in APIv2.
